Dying Light 2 Stay Human Gets Real-Time Ray Tracing, DLSS as Techland Partners with NVIDIA

Dying Light2

Techland today announces a partnership with NVIDIA to integrate NVIDIA technology like real-time ray tracing and DLSS into Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Cooperation with NVIDIA helped bring to life the revolutionary open world of 2015’s Dying Light with effects such as enhanced Ambient Occlusion, Depth of Field and Shadows. Now, thanks to the latest NVIDIA solutions, Dying Light 2 Stay Human will see the implementation of advanced real-time ray tracing in C-Engine (Techland’s proprietary game engine).

Dying Light 2 will be the first game from Techland to support ray tracing, with effects including physically correct shadows (taking into account the angular width of the sun in the sky), vastly improved ambient occlusion and DLSS rendering.

“Our partnership with NVIDIA has helped us create an immersive, visceral experience for Dying Light 2 players,” said Tomasz Szałkowski, Rendering Director, Techland. “Ray tracing enhances the realism of our unforgiving, infected world while NVIDIA DLSS provides a performance boost without sacrificing image quality.”
