Budapest, Hungary – July 22nd, 2021 – Balcony Softworks, developers of the old-school tactical RPG Balrum, alongside independent publisher Those Awesome Guys, of Move or Die and Monster Prom fame are getting ready for the release of Deepest Chamber, a new deck building card game coming to Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store today!
Early Access Journey and Launch Week Discount
Following the successful release of its demo during Steam’s Next Fest, the scene is set for an even greater descent into the world of Deepest Chamber, as it enters its Early Access phase starting today, July 22nd 2021!
The game will be available for purchase starting 10:00 AM PST / 19:00 PM CET on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, for the following MSRP: 12.99 USD / 12.99 EURO / 10.29 GBP. There’s also gonna be a 10% discount available on both platforms for the entire duration of launch week.
The developers have been eagerly awaiting entering the Early Access stage ever since work began on the project almost 5 years ago. The feedback provided during this phase will be an immensely valuable asset for further perfecting the game and its many mechanics and synergies!
A deeper dive into Deepest Chamber
Deepest Chamber is a single player deck building card game with roguelike elements that is set in a dark fantasy themed world. The player is tasked with overcoming an increasingly challenging descent into the murky depths of a dying medieval city.
To stand a fighting chance, you’ll have to build a strong deck from an array of different ability cards, make use of handy consumables and ancient powerful relics and, last but not least, uncover the stories of the many denizens that now inhabit the sunken city.

The story so far
A mysterious magical dome is now covering the city as a horrible pestilent disease is
spreading amongst the townsfolk, who have been forced to leave their homes and take shelter
Underground.
Very soon they will realize that this can never be a permanent solution as the underground is
proven to be just as inhospitable as what is left on the surface.
You will lead a group of former City Guards and reformed scoundrels with the goal of finding
a way out of the misery that seems to have engulfed them all.
In the depths, you will encounter both friends and foes as they scavenge for resources and
continue to delve deeper and deeper.
You feared death once but not anymore, as whenever your party dies they are brought back to
continue their never ending struggle.
