SEOUL – AUGUST 13, 2021 – Hunter’s Arena: Legends, a team-based PvE and PvP, reached a milestone today, reporting 300,000 daily active users across both PlayStation and Steam versions of the game.
North American servers were the most populated, exceeding 160,000 peak daily active users. EU and Asia peaked at 100,000. Players reported smooth and fast matchmaking, often taking under a minute, with cross-play keeping game lobbies full.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends released earlier this month as part of August’s free PS Plus titles for PS4 and PS5. This access helped propel the game to its massive daily active user numbers, in addition to the title leaving Early Access on Steam.
Now, Hunter’s Arena has received a new 1.05 patch that ends the game’s Pre-Season event and officially introduces Season 1. Alongside Season 1, new events will be introduced including weekend events, with more event announcements plannedUpdates coming to Hunter’s Arena: Legends:
- Cross-invite feature: Play in duo and trio modes regardless of platform
- Esports league: Mantisco is working on a new competitive scene for the game
- More variety: Expect new maps, characters, and skins
“We’re focusing on server stabilization as the amount of active users rises higher each day,” says David Yoon, head of Mantisco. “It seems like our efforts of creating a one-of-a-kind combat system and listening to our players’ feedback during Early Access paid off. We will continue to improve the experience of Hunter’s Arena: Legends.”
Mantisco is an independent game studio based in Seoul, Korea. The team is composed of industry veterans that worked on such games as Street Fighter 3, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lineage 2, Blade & Soul and more.
